Does not feel or look like it in the weather forecast for this city, it was +10 in Fort McMurray today and -6 down here, lol time for the sun to come out and give some heat down here get rid of all the snow and dry up the ground make it nice again.

Thought it was go to cost me a lot of money the other day, I was fighting with my car stereo, tiring to find out what was not allowing my subs to work, it took 3 hours and a lot of not no nice words... lol, but I got it to work it is all boom boom boom again lol.

Got to go to a meeting on Sunday hope the weather is good for the drive out there, it is the first one for the Union that I could go to since I have been home, should be fun... try it out and see how it all goes.

Moving next weekend that should be lots of fun lol.... can't wait to get it over with and all moved in then comes the fun parts getting it all set up again the way I want it to be, going to take a few days before it is the way we both want it.

Back on the Rock and away from Alberta

Back to the island once again, tiring to get use to the weather and the time difference again though. I was a great flight home, watched a few movies and had a few naps also lol.
I don't miss the smells of the plants or nosies all day long, it is nice not to hear much of anything and smell fresh air lol, I miss the guys and the work it is different just relaxing and sleeping in lol.
Made some muffins for me and Les today and they turned out like big nipples ( les loves the nipple muffins so do I lol)

Getting ready to move once again and I am not looking forward to it at all, lot of stuff to go through and just don't know where to start ( all my stuff I sent home is still in boxes find out what is what after the move)

Snow is almost gone, and there was a lot more here then in Alberta we only had about 25cm on the ground up there the day I left ( it is still cold up there it was -33 2 days ago, but is going to get hot there soon, I goes from -20 to 20 in less then a few days and then it is hot till nov +40 in the summer and -40 in the winter. Great place to live lol)

Back to Work

Back to work after 4 long days off, it was nice to have it off but it does get boring in this city. It was hot here all weekend and again today ( hope it stays). It was a fun weekend just th same, cleaned up around the apt and washed the clothes, and done the dishies.

Went drinking this weekend for the first time in a long time, it was a good day and night untill I found myself in the bathtub ( for some reason I can't remember getting in there at all) That is not good when that happens lol.

Another busy day at work again today, job after job, some hot and some in very hot places ( not to good when it is almost 30 out side. I am still working with the same boss, and a different guy which is a big fing baby when things does not go his way, that is what I have to look up to in this trade ( this is going to be a lot of fun lol).

Yes yet another photo id to add to my neck lol, Petro Canada is now going with the ID tags ( fag tags as they are called on sites). It was hot here again today 28, and sunny to hot to be working out side. Work is still going good, got to work in Suncor this weekend good for the money again.

Les is doing fine and Robyn is still living here with us, good for the bill and to have a friend around, until the 2 of them get on the attack against me lol.

Soon going to take a weekend off and go to Edmonton again, let Les and Robyn go to the mall and I am going to go drinking beer and eat bbq. Get to have a fire in the back yard and just relax and not think about having to get up at 4 am for a change.

It has been and still is a hot summer up here, not much rain lots of sun and weird lighting storms all summer. It is not bad getting up at 4 and it being 20 out then and still daylight ( that was hard to get use to lol) Just got back from my trip back home about 2 weeks ago, it was good to get home, wish Les could of went with me ( but someone has to bring home the bread lol)

Work is still going great, working in a new plant now lot less gas around and it is 40km in the woods, not a lot of people and very quite there. I am working with 2 guys that were born and raised in Fort Mac ( they love me lol)

Gotta run for now, try to start writing in this again, at least once a week

Moved in to the new pad lol

Finally we are moved in to the new apt, it is real nice and big, and it is all les and mine to share alone (about time). Les has the place all made up, it is really really nice, to come home and have a place to sit and relax after a long day. It is great that she is learning to cook to now, I love her so much for trying to make me happy all the time.

Work is going good, got a new placement up there now, moved from the flied to the shop ( cutting and rolling up the metal instead of putting it on) it is a good job, but it is a lot busier and most times hard on the legs and the feet, just moving around from table to table alday long.

We had rain for 2 days in a row the last to days, that is the first time I seen rain up here since last year when I was here lol. It was nice and hot again today up to 24, and looking good for the rest of the week also.

Back from Edmonton

Well it is back to work again today after 4 days off it suxs to go back to that place. I wanted to stay in Edmonton for a few more days, or even get a job and move down there. It is a very nice city, clean, and for the most part quiet.

Lesley and I left on Thursday night from Ft. Mac (5:30pm) and took the Red Arrow bus line to Edmonton, it is a 5 hour bus ride, but it was worth it. Just to get away from my parents and from work for a while. On Friday I took Lesley to the West Edmonton Mall, which was fun we sent 5 hours just walking around looking at all the different stores and all the stuff in the Mall. It is really big, there is almost to much in there to see in one day.

We stayed at my cousins house that is just behind the mall so that was good to walk to the mall the two days we went over there to shop and look around, I bought a new pair of sandals and a new pair of jeans that was it for my big spending lol... oh and a lighter ( nice one to)

It was a great weekend from the Mall, beer, food, and the fire in the back it was all worth it and I am ready to go back down there now.....

Another Day Off

Off again today, this is the second day off due to a crane crash inside the syncrude site. (no one was hurt and the plant is still there lol) I just sent some pics to wal-mart to get done, can wait to see them. The weather is not been to bad up here over the past few days lots of sun sine still a little cold but not to bad.

Today I got up at 5:15 and got ready for work, went to the bus and got already to go to the site and then the bus driver came on and advised us that only the mine was open today so off the bus and walk back to the house and back to bed lol. Then I got up at like 11- 11:30 and got ready and walked from one end off downtown to the other, window shopping lol, went to Tims (it is not the same as down home at all), walked through the mall and then back downtown and ordered a shrit with Syncrude onto it, something to have from here.

No Work For ME

Called today to get a new job in Fort McMurray and there is nothing for a 1-2 year, what is that all about... looks like I'll have to wait a few days and try again if not I am going to call a company that is in St. John's and see if I can get on with that and work around the Island for a chance.

Lesley is a little happy that I am not going back right yet, but she is also upset that I am not cause she was going to go back there with me and get a job up there for a while and make some good money. We may still be able to do that if I can get a job in the next little while, I don't even mind waitting till the end of this month to go up there and then I can get a place to live and Lesley can come up with me.

Snow on the ground here today, it is nice to see and the best thing is that there is not enough that we have to showle it away, ( less the better)

See how the next few days goes and hope we don't get any more snow and that I am able to see if there is any jobs for me any where.

HAPPY NEW YEAR

Yes another year is over and new is began, time to make some plans.. to get it all right this year lol.
Looks like we are going to get some snow for this New Year not that we want it or need to see it but it is nice to finally get some on the ground.

Christmas was great, good times were had and I was able to make it home on Christmas day to see my family and to eat a lot of great food.. more then we should ever eat but it is ok now we can work it off again.

MOLD again

This is the second case of our room having mold on the walls since I have got back to the rock, Les was talking to the landlord and see had the nerve to say "I have never seen that there before while I was living there". The day we moved in she was wiping it from the walls.... Only goes to show that she does not care unless we miss a day on the rent ( then watch out)

Still no snow for Christmas... We had a bit last week and now the rain has taken it away again, not to bad though we don't have to do anything with the rain lol. Would be nice to have a bit of snow on the ground during Christmas to make it feel right, but also no snow means more traveling I can do to home and here.

Only 4 more days and me and Lesley well be together for 2 years and 2 months, I am so glad we are still together and that we still love eachother as much and more as we did when we first got together.

Getting Close to the end!!

Looks like the end is near for this trip to Fort McMurray, work is now almost complete on the UE1 project and Ill soon be coming home for the winter. ( Les is HAPPY that I am finally getting ready to come home)May have one week or up to the 15th of Dec up here. I really don't like it cold up here it is a lot different then home. Monday I went to get the bus and it was -24 and the windchill was -31 that is a cold day to work outside. I can't wait to get home to see everyone and spend the winter at home, not up here in a camp and nothing to do but sit and wait for time to go and go back to work. It was nice here today comparied to Monday it was +6 and rain in the moring and sunny in the afternoon.
Gotta go and eat supper ( more great food but that is another post soon lol )

After 4 really long days and nights in this camp I am going back to work about time lol. Working up here has it ups and downs, it is like a small city with the traffic and people running around the plant, but there is one main difference in a real city there are not alot of things that everyone works around that could kill you in 30 sec or less. The plant is live and there is alot of sour gas, H2S and other deadly gases that are around you all day long. When that H2S alarm goes off you better check to see where it is coming from and also to see which way the wind is blowing and then move your ass. (When in Dought get the fuck out) that is what I was told almost everyday about working there. They have a great fire crew there and it is not good when you start to see more then one truck leave that hall when you are on the pipe rack that they are going to lol. All in All it is not a bad place to work, just think about work and not think what is here today that could kill me or someone else. ( No one has died in that plant so that is a good thing to know)

Working Away

I am still in Fort McMurray, everything is going fine here work is going good I am learning a few things that I did not know before. I had the change to vist the other oil plant up here last week (Suncore, which was the first in the world for oil sands) it is not as clean as syncrude ( the largest in the world) the people are nice and are not ones to turn away from providing you with the help you need to do the job right. The camp is not to bad it is not the best one up here ( there are 6 camps) but it is what you make of it. when I first got here there was 16000 people working on the UE1 project and now that it is getting complete the man power is getting lower everyday. I have no idea when I am going to be getting my walking papers lol.
That is all for now, I know I don't write in this enough but I'll try to write a bit more.

Another Week Goes By

Here we are again in a new week and it is final starting to feel like summer

Not a lot has been going on since I last wrote in this, my sister had a little baby girl (Keyla) born on May 25 two days after I got back in town from the May 24 weekend. Just a few weeks ago I went home to see her for the first time, she is so small and cute full head of hair and little fingers and toes.

Me and Lesley have been going out more then 1 year and 8 months all is going great. We are the type that do what and when we can, we also have great trust in eachother so that one can go out with the boys for a coffee and the other can go down town with the girls. :)

Well I know this is not much but I don't want to get into details about convergys again :)

What a busy Weekend

Other busy weekend dealing with them idiots, I don't know where Convergys get them or should I say what is training them, it is not their fault that they can't do basics. I need a vacation from there and I have it coming up very soon I am off Friday till next Thursday can't wait, Lesley and I are going out to Musravetown for the long weekend, it well be nice to get home for a change and just relax this time. This weekend I hope that my sister has here baby, was suppose to have it on the 13th ( glad she didn't :) )

Work is starting to get real busy again for me anyways we have to do support for 3 convergys site, so much for the 1 Floor support agent to 40 agents, that is so out the window I say now with all the new hire classes it well be more like 1 Floor support to 100 agents. If they knew their jobs enough to get past how do I find an ip address and really find out what the customers issue is, then it may slow down enough that it goes back to the 1 to 40 ratio.

Then again with out them I would not have a job to go to everyday and bitch at for 8 hours :) . I guess that it is soon time for the spring cleaning up there tring to find ways to fire people, one way to get rid of the stupid people and make life a little easier for everyone.

Yes I know it has been a very very long time since I have updated this thing, I was to lazy to do it lol. Everything is going good here I am still with Lesley and yes I am still working at Convergys ( lol never get away from there).

I am getting ready to become a uncle for the first time, my sister is ready to bring that next generation into our family and Lesley and I cant wait ( I think Lesley is just ready to go baby shopping.)
We are going home for the May 24th weekend, hope the baby is here by then get to see it for the first time and hold it lol, have a few drinks and eat lots on our new Bar-q that dad just bought cant wait.

We are all going to the park here now, just to get out of the house and get some fresh air for a change, better then being inside all the time, work then home and back and forth all the time.

I am off again here now, hope it well be not as long before I write here again take it easy and I Love you all.

Going DT tonight

Going down to the fat cat to listen to some live music, instead of the cd player in my car for a change lol. It was another busy day at work again today I started at 8:45 am, and before more of the floor support agents came in for there shift I had already talked to 50 stupid people what a way to start a day lol, by the time I left at 5:15pm I had talked to 130 altogether.

Back to work at 11 tomorrow, Lesley is going to the job fair for the PAL airlines and I have a few resumes done up for her to take over to pass out, hope to get a new job to look forward to going to everyday.

Home for the weekend

I was home for the weekend, doing some ski-dooing something that I have not done at all the winter, it was real fun good to get outdoors and smell the fresh air and spend time with my dad. Saturday I went in over the old woods road to a friends cabin and had a beer, and then went up to the big pond.

Sunday day dad, Chris (sisters husband) and me went for a ride up to what we call the blue hills, which a group of mountains behind home that we can see right down into the town and see 5 others, it was a great day nice riding conditions little bumpy in places but good not to cold either.

I drove into day, it was good going to some one pitched a rock from his tire and hit my window (another $30 job to get that fixed now) can't win. Good to get home from time to time, like to have a few of my friends home to go out and spend the nights on the ski-doos, but they are all gone away or living in here, what can you do.

Stupid computers and people that think they know how to use them and get raid of virus, this is the second time in a week I had to format this computer to start all over again. Another virus, that the virus scan does not see, of course I have to fix the issue but clearing the hard drive and installing all my programs again.

Yesterday Les, Pam, Steph, and I went to fog city for dinner and a movie, it was lots of fun, we watched a great movie to, I though it was a funny one lol, and I bought 3 red flowers for the girls.

Back to work tomorrow and time for the fun to begin, one of our big markets went over to a new service, and now we have to fix it cause the people that create the systems do not know what they are doing or how to fix there mistakes that come up.

No I did not win the lotto not even close (thanks Amy :) ) still have to work for a living... boy that sucks, and then again it is not that bad I guess I have been doing it since I was 14. It could be worse I guess then what it really is, could not have a job or live in a house or even have my own car.

Looks like we are in for some rain this week, might take a bit of the snow away so we can see where we are driving lol.
I just formatted this computer again last night, we got a virus from one of Lesley’s friend’s sister that sent it to him and so on …… I hate getting them, not the fact of getting the virus or cleaning it off the system or having to format it is having to listen to Lesley when she says were is all my stuff where did you put it, oh I have to download all that again. (I am going to get hit for this lol)

She is a little mad at me to now :( I got her to cut my hair the other night and it is very, very short, so short I can clean it with the face cloth lol.

Yet another fun filled day at the whole (stupid people). Lots of fun lots of chats and still they can’t get the point that they can do the job the same as everyone else… what do you do.

Got the day off, going to sleep in and then get up and clean this room lol, get it all put away and get it made nice. I hate working from 11-7:30 pm, your day is broke up to much, but is better to get off in the same day then getting off in to different ones lol.

I hope there is not too much snow on the way this week, we all need a break from it there now, I want to get home and go on ski-do, and spend the day in the woods, away from work and away for this city.

Finally the moving is done, time for unpacking (lots of fun there :) ) but it well be all worth it in the end. Nice big house and lots of room to move around and hide lol.
Off this weekend and it was good to have a couple of days from that place and the stupid people that work there. I am back to work tomorrow and off again on Wednesday (with Les)
Still we still have lots of snow down and by the looks of things more on the way on Wednesday ( of course our day off what to do…what to do… I know shovel snow yeah….!) Bring it on is all I have to say, time to get a work out lol and build up the muscles again and get them good pains in the back again for another few months.

Yet another snow fall

As I said another snow fall, and more shoving snow from the front of the car to get out of work (no way am I staying there) and in the driveway. (Which Les done for me tonight god love her xoxo).
The roads in this city are always so clean and no one walks on the road, whatever the roads are like snow banks, just keep the car moving and hope that you get out the other end. I know that people can walk on the sidewalks but man stay out of the middle of the little bit of road that I have to drive on.
Work is the same (suxs) I just wish that the senior management up there would do there own job, instead of making me do it for them. (Wait a minute they don’t know how to do that, when one is an ex pre-school teacher and the rest are just…. Need I say more?)

Stupid People

In my job from time to time I am asked to do different jobs, I don’t mine that but when you have to deal with more then one stupid person at a time you want to freak out. I am going from one side of the floor to the other running around trying not to slap them people around. (How do I do this how do it do that) I had 4 weeks of training and now they have 3 weeks and I have never asked or heard so many stupid questions at once.

Now there is talk of moving our whole team to a 5pm start time till 1:30am, which suxs I would hate to go back to the evening shift and not be able to spend time with my girlfriend and all our friends.
But the other side of this is that I could be starting at 8:30am to 5 pm which I would love to have be able to come home at eat supper when it is supper time :)

We have a few friends over here tonight, time to drink and play some board games, and laugh out loud at each other :)

Hey all, this is my first time on this, I am 23 years old and now live in St. John's. I work at converys (yeah :( ) been there for 3 1/2 years now, and as you may have heard it suxs lol. That is where I got my nick name Yeti ( 6'6" tall and size 18 shoes)
Don't really know what to right, I am very lazy, and hate snow :) time for it to go ( still more on the way). I only love snow when I am at my real home and get out and use my ski-doo and spend time with my friends in the woods.

I live here in town with my girlfriend (Lesley) for over 1 year and 3 months, also her brother and his girlfriend, it is fun living with a lot of people but also can be bad from time to time :)
